Stamping Flowers on Bookpaper

For this card, I stamped the flowers on bookpaper and then cut out.  I added some extra color with markers.  The flower stamps are a mix of different ones, mostly Stampin' Up!

I originally started making these flowers for a mixed media canvas. You could use them on all kinds of papercrafting projects.

Tuesday Morning Scrapping Stuff

I wasn't planning any scrappy shopping for awhile after a Stampin' Up! order, Basic Grey box and then an ACOT order a few weeks ago but I couldn't resist these goodies from Tuesday Morning.  I went in looking for a birthday present for my Mother and didn't find what I was looking for.  I bought her some plants instead, she is an avid gardener.

The retail price total for these was over $65 and I got them for about $25+ tax so I'm very pleased.  I'm finding it hard to justify full price for Thickers anyway unless they are just the perfect font and color for a project.

Hope everyone has a blessed Easter weekend.

Basketball Paper

Echo Park has some new sports themed papers.  I'm using this basketball court one for the annual Dillon's basketball season page.  I wanted a way to get all my photos in and still see the key court design on the paper.  So I turned to my 2015 sketchbook for ideas.  I had the perfect sketch.

Check out the layout on this video:

It's so easy

It's easy to take Dillon to the lake to kayak that is.  Grampa staying steady on the kayak himself apparently isn't as easy.  Unfortunately, I wasn't there to get any photos of that part of the trip :-)

For the page, I used Simple Stories So Rad papers and a Silhouette die cut of a kayaker.

In a few weeks I'll have a new class on using 6x6 Paper Pads in your scrapbooking.  More details coming soon.

5 cards from 5 Sketches with one Stamp set

Continuing along using some of my stamp sets one more time before moving them out of my stash, I stamped several images from retired For the Birds stamp set by Stampin' Up! These all fit on the same size paper so it was easy to create several sketches that could be mixed and matched for these cards.

I selected a few 6x6 papers and then made all the cards with the same color scheme.  I think I ended up with 11 cards doing at least 2 of each.

Pretty Page for Pretty Photos

Most of the time, my pages are telling a story.  I try to choose papers, embellishments, and titles to support that story.

Today I just want to make a pretty page to show off some pretty fall photos.  I also want to work down my stash to make way for new products.  These papers are from Basic Grey's Persimmon line a couple of years back.

For the leaves, I used the last of my large chipboard leaves and added color with the Gelli Plate.  The paint went on so smoothly with nice details and it dried super fast.

And a shopping we will go...

This is my 3rd and probably last shopping video for awhile.  After getting the Basic Grey box last Saturday, I quickly put in an A Cherry On Top order to get a few more things to finish out the new collections.  I also wanted to add some Simple Stories 6x6 pads because...

My next class is on using 6x6 paper pads!

I have many layouts done for this class already but lots more ideas.  Stay tuned for more on that in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, here are a few things I bought including an item I got from Stampin' Up! when I exchanged the punch I thought was too small. This is the first time I've ever sent anything back to SU!  In all these years, I've always been very pleased with my purchases.  The process was very smooth.  And I really like the stencils I got as part of the swap.

Stencil Storage

A few weeks ago, I wanted to move out some of my stamps as I've share in other videos.  What I didn't share is that pulling out a couple of baskets worth of stamps led to rearranging stamps and I don't know what all.  Basically I spent 2 days moving things around in my scraproom.

One of my biggest challenges was to figure out how to keep my stencils from clinging to each other.  They keep intertwining more than teenagers on a date.  I thought hanging them on a rack would be a good idea and it finally dawned on me that I have a closet in that room with a closet rod.  I had so much other stuff in that closet the rod had kind of been obscured.

So more cleaning and a few different ideas later, I found this solution for the stencils.
