Using Pinterest for Sketches
Pinterest, for me, is like a new and improved way to bookmark the things I find on-line. I mostly use it to capture pages and cards. I've just started using Pinterest to capture sketches, too.
My card is based on a sketch by Pamela at Pamelaworldofscrap. Join in the challenge!
She also included a version of this for scrapbook pages. I think it would make a fantastic page, but I don't have time right now to do one. So I 'pinned' the scrapbook version in a new board I named simply "Sketches." Before, I had been downloading sketches I liked to my computer but I really don't need to do that. Pinterest will save them for me.
For the card, I used Stampin' Up!'s Trendy Trees and my much underused Lily Bee's Autumn Spice papers.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are safe, warm and dry during this awful storm.

What a beautiful card!! I love the trees.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! The trees are fabulous and so is the paper!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm with you about Pinterest! I love pinning sketches and crafting ideas - it works so well for me because when I have that visual I do more than just a bookmark in my browser or a file on my computer! (just need the internet to work reliably!) Thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty card. I really like the papers and that stamp set is so great.
ReplyDeleteI still copy sketches to a folder. Just a habit, but then I don't always know where they came from. Pinterest is the better way to go.
Love that card! The papers and stamping go together so well. Yes, Pinterest is wonderful. I just have to manage my time there.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic!! I LOVE it!!! :) Thanks for playing along with my sketch challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great tip, Lisa, and a fantastic card to go along with it. Love these papers, and they make a very versatile card. I'm on Pinterest, but never thought to look for sketches. I will be now, though :)
